Full description

Sorbitol is a sugar belonging to the sugar alcohol family. Used in cosmetics as a humectant, to protect against dehydration, and as a moisturizing agent to prevent dry skin. It finds its main application in toothpastes.

Sorbitol, Aqua.

How to use

It comes in the form of a viscous and colorless liquid, soluble in water. It has moisturizing properties on the skin. Useful in mouthwashes and toothpastes to which it gives a soft and pasty appearance. It can also be used in the aqueous phases of liquid cleansers and face creams. If used at high concentrations, it can enhance the antimicrobial efficacy of some preservatives. On the skin it has a lower stickiness than glycerin. It is a safe ingredient at all concentrations of use. Usage rate: 2-10%
