This is an automatic translation
Argan oil is extracted in Morocco from the fruits of Argania Spinosa, a tree with thorny branches up to ten meters high, very resistant and which can live up to two hundred years. The fruit of this tree is an oval drupe that contains an extremely hard "nut", inside which are the seeds, often called "Argan almonds".
This precious oil is endowed with numerous properties, exploited both in the food and in the cosmetics field. In detail, unlike that used for food purposes, Argan oil intended for use in cosmetics is not subjected to roasting, but is cold pressed. This manufacturing process allows to obtain a more limpid and clear oil than the food one.
In cosmetics it can be found in several forms:
-Argan oil (Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil); given its rich and particular composition, Argan oil has several properties that make it a useful and precious cosmetic ingredient. Thanks to the important substances extracted from this fruit (Vitamin A, E and F, linoleic acid, Omega 3 and Omega 6, essential fatty acids), the oil is an excellent ally for the skin, fighting the formation of the signs of aging thanks Vitamin E and a high concentration of antioxidants. A few drops morning and evening are enough to restore elasticity to the skin. It is also an excellent moisturizer and protects the skin from external agents such as the sun, cold and smog, as well as helping to prevent and improve the appearance of stretch marks. It can be used for the treatment of dry, brittle and stressed hair that has lost shine and elasticity., In fact we can find it in shampoos and conditioners as a scalp revitalizer and conditioning agent, to give softness and shine to the hair. Its use is also extended to the hardening action of brittle nails. Finally, it has an important emollient and restorative action.
-Argan extract (Argania Spinosa Kernel Extract); an extract containing derivatives of flavones, saponins, procyanolidins and sterols is obtained from the leaves of Argania spinosa. This extract has a soothing, protective action against ultraviolet radiation and anti-aging action.
Fair trade supply chain
Our Argan Oil is obtained from the artisanal processing of Argan seeds, originating in Morocco. The seeds are carefully checked and analyzed to ensure that they meet the quality requirements, then they are ground and cold pressed, with mechanical methods and without the use of chemical solvents, to extract their precious oil.
Our Argan oil comes from organic Moroccan crops of the Marocavie project, an independent organization that guarantees product quality, compliant with NOP (National Organic Program) standards and European organic regulations, and the sustainable development of the local Berber population and Argan forests.
The Marocavie project allows local populations to develop horticulture to meet their food needs, improves and facilitates the education of children by providing socio-economic opportunities to women and their families, thus counteracting the spread of the desert and the rural exodus . Marocavie to date has carried out numerous projects in favor of desert regions, providing buildings used as schools or renovating existing ones, in the city of Taroudant Marocavie supports the orphanage "Center de l'Enfance Lalla Amina" which houses 60 children and young people aged between 0 and 18 years. In this center, Marocavie provides for all the expenses of a foster home where 7 children with 2 parent-teachers live: school equipment, clothes, food and medicine. In 2013, Marocavie also financed a medical campaign that aimed to provide assistance to the populations of the mountain regions. A small fully equipped bus, with a medical staff of 10, traveled 145 kilometers in a single day, in this way more than 400 people were able to benefit from the delivery of medicines and medical advice.
